Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a metric that measures manufacturing productivity by evaluating how effectively a manufacturing operation is utilized. It combines three factors: availability, performance, and quality. Measuring OEE helps identify losses, improve equipment utilization, and enhance overall production efficiency. OEE of 85 % is considered world class, however most plants run between 40 to 60 %, leaving a lot of room for improvement.
